In need of an upgrade but dont know what?

I have a pc that is used for playing games like rift and at the moment it can only manage about 30 fps on low settings, which is poop as I like looking at the pretty shiney things, so want to be able to play on higher settings.
It currently has amd athlon II x4 635 2.9ghz processor, radeon hd 5450 1gb gpu, and 4gb ram.
Can i get away with just upgrading the graphics card? and if so what would be the cheapest and best option for someone on a budget? Probably got around £100 that can be spent.

depending on your PSU an AMD 7750/7770 or maybe a GTX650ti. You've a decent enough CPU, although a good overlock on that would help hugely. What PSU and motherboard do you have, so we can better tell you what options you have.

you'll be fine with any of the cards I mentioned above. Good thing is your mobo Is a decent one, and will allow you to overclock your CPU, which will get a bit of extra performance out of your GPU.
  4. thanks keith I will check those out and go for one of them then :)
