Hi
I know Christmas is quite far away but I am excited to upgrade my gaming rig so I am planning already!
My current specs:
MoBo: Asus M5A78L-M LX3
CPU: AMD Fx 6300
Gfx card: XFX Radeon 7870
Psu: 500w Coolermaster
Ram: 4Gb corsair vengeance
Case: Sharkoon VS3-V (green)

I have already decided that I will get another 4gb of ram, making it 8gb, and a nice new case.
My dilemma is wether to upgrade to AMD Fx 8350 and a new mobo, or another 7870 and a new mobo. Any other recommendations are appreciated!

Thanks!

Go with the 8350, it's a lot easier to upgrade the GPU than the CPU.

FX-6300 + 2x HD 7870 is much better than FX-8350 + 1x HD 7870

get another HD 7870 + new motherboard !

For the PSU, avoid Crapper Master they make terrible power supplies.

If your budget is tight, you could go with a Corsair CX600 instead.

And you definitely want to build it with 8GB from the start.

But you are right Christmas is far away so there's no point checking this stuff too early because prices are changing constantly, plus new hardware being released, etc... So create a new thread in early December instead it would be better.

If you want to crossfire, might as well get a Corsair TX750 or HX750 then.

But your current PSU will definitely not do the job.
