Hi,
I got a DIAMOND 7870 GHz Edition and a xfx 7870 double d in crossfire, in windows 8 with the original drivers, asus z77 pro 4, and a thermaltake psu 600w, it runs excellent.

But, whe I tried to upgrade the drivers, estable or beta any version, my second card (the one not connected to the monitor) is disabled. I have tried unistalling drivers, using amd cleanup util or driver fusion, disconect one card before installing the drivers, no removing the old drivers.

Is there something bad with my hardware or, it's an extra procedure for upgrade the drivers withhout reinstalling windows?

Well #1 I dont think it will work because they are two totally differen GPUs. One is a Ghz Edition and one is a regular chip. Not only is one propritarity too. If I was you I would try to get two of the Ghz Editions (exact models is even better).

Notice that the drivers list doesnt support anything past the 12.4 drivers. https://www.diamondmm.com/7870pe52g-diamond-amd-radeon-video-graphics-card.html

thanks,
I've found a PowerColor AMD Radeon HD 7870 PCS+ GHz Edition http://www.powercolor.com/global/products_features.asp?id=397,
like the diamond http://www.diamondmm.com/7870pe52gv-diamond-amd-radeon-hd-7870-ghz-edition-pcie-video-graphics-card.html
is compatible with 13.4.
I will go for this model because is compatible with the ek-7870 that got my xfx
