I am running a desktop pc via a adsl sagem modem hard wired to a bt phone socket.
The phone socket is downstairs and the pc upstairs, so I have been using a long extension cable between the phone socket via a surge protector device to the pc.
I wish to do away with extension cable and go wireless. What do I need to purchase without breaking the bank. Pc mainly just used for surfing the net with occasionaly online video watching.
The pc has a host of ports including ethernet and a screw wireless port with asus antenna which I have never used. I have looked at lots of products but cannot figure out what I need.
I have looked at tp-link tl-wr841n which fits my budget will that do what I want. It is all quite confusing
