Used Amazon/NewEgg for ease. The memory/mobo combo is $154.98, so I inserted the RAM as a manual price....

Anyone think I can do better or am I fairly well balanced?

If this is for gaming I would honestly get a FX-8350 as games will most likely soon be using more cores. Also get a good CPU cooler.

That 144Hz monitor will be thrirsty for GPU power. Your GTX 760 will not be able to get is above 70-80 FPS in the newer games without killing all the eye candy and turning off the AA. If you intend to later upgrade to dual GTX 770's or dual GTX 780's than fine. But that monitor and a single GTX 760 do not mix.

Unfortunately, even today games that use more cores, FX 8350 can't keep up with the Intel offering.

Absolutely, I've done enough research that sticking to Intel seems very prudent. Also, I've spent three nights going over MOBO's.... I don't think I can research any longer with an entirely different chip lol

Like babernet_1 said, are you going for 3D with the 144Mhz? if not, I would get a 770(or HD 7950/7970) and a cheaper monitor.

I know a lot of people aren't sold on the 144mhz... It's absolutely fantastic, even regular ol' 2D.... my friend just pulled windows from one screen to the other, and its evident. A 60hz 24 inch goes for $170-180 or so.... Spend the 80 dollars and get the better monitor.... Its amazingly easy on the eyes.

That being said, I realize the need to step up the GPU. Nvidia's "LightBoost" technology works great with this 144hz technology. I saw a dude selling 680GTX's for $280, but I'm a little weary of buying privately. Hard to spend the extra $150 to step up to the 770, but you guys might be 100% on the money with that.

I guess you can always sli it later, that PSU should be able to handled that.
