So, hey people, I'm new here... so I want to know what I need to buy, so first things firs... I have $4100 dls. second.. So thats what I have and the programs I use, so I wanted to go and muy a workstation for this, so some said... BUY A INTEL... and others BUY AMD... and some said MAKE A NVIDIA MAXIMUS and I was like I LIKE THE FIREPRO W7000... SO WHATS BETTER? I was configuring this computer the other day the
http://www.titanuscomputers.com/Titanus-A275-Dual-AMD-Opteron-Seoul-4300-Series-p/a275.htm
With 32 gb. ram, a w7000, OPTERON 12 cores or maybe 16 cores... thats on the main thing... the other things are just accesories, but is it really the best option? or should I go for intel, please I really need to know a real answer... because I just want the render and transcoding video fast enough to make a good workflow... so would like some help from you guys on this... I have been reading a lot for this but hell... Im not a computer genious I just want to render faster!
Is that what you're looking for? Well you came to the right place >
. The build that I'm going to give you is not overkill only if you want to spend all your money is the question. Do you want to spend 4100?? That's a lot man! A high end pc will cost you about 2000 at most, but very well my friend, I will give you what you need and try to set a budget for 2000 usd for your sake... You don't need more i guess... First off, for those programs that myself and yourself both like, you will need a Nvidia card! nvidia cards have cuda cores... Cuda cores are the little things inside your graphics card
, these little things work best with programs as such you and I both use (what I'm saying is buy a damn nvidia) my recommendation for that budget, is get the nvidia Titan! No. Don't if its too expensive, it's really not worth it. You really don't need that expensive, but the 6gb of the Titan will do well in fast rendering and stuff, I kinda have to recommend it if you want the best single GPU card in the market
. (Price: Titan; 1,100$, gtx 780; 650$ [also if getting 780 I'd say get an sli x2 for your high budget]i didn't include 690 because of the issues and the old architecture) so were moving on the the CPU now! Make sure before buying a CPU, that the CPU is compatible with your motherboard, because I ordered a motherboard and the CPU was not for it and I returned motherboard later... I can help you with choosing both. The CPU I recommend for your build is the Intel Core i7-3930K, K is the initial intel uses for overclocking, and I would reckon you cool the heck out of it, and this one is a beast that will set you back about (540$). If you're choosing that CPU then you NEED an x79 motherboard with it, I will only recommend one for the convenience of this reply letter. ASUS Sabertooth X79 LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Link: http://amzn.com/B0061XSBZG. I sent a link for a specific reason, it will be hat to find if I didn't... Well, I chose this one for you if you need 3 sli's ( I highly don't recommend that at all, but as you wish)and a lot of RAM slots (8 to be exact!) so, if you need alot of ram, I can say you're not going to run out of them
. The USB 3.0 is a standard to all new motherboards, the transfer rate is fast on this one ( 6gb/s but what you expect from a high end board ^^) oh and by the way, this was the board I ordered by mistake >.< (Price 320$). As for the psu you Wanamaker get something like 800-1000w for psi 1200w (I'm not sure of that, my friend , I don't really know, correct me if I'm wrong, I like to Learn from my mistakes) I like corsair for the psu. The ram, I think you or the one, 32 gigs is more than enough, but is it really enough? Is it really? I mean if you think about it, what are all those 8 RAM ports lyin' around doin' on your motherboard, you see where I'm going? No. Actually I'm just kidding with ya, 32 is more than enough, ( that's another thing of you play minecraft xD you might wanna coincided increasing ram xD :joke
so I'd say, stick to that if you wanna keep some money for a descent mouse, or even drawing pads! Or nice keyboards or monitors or even headsets, you decide! So if you need more on the cooling and other stuff just reply to this and tell me that you do, and oh one more thing, I don't recommend you buying a soundcard because your onboard sound on that motherboard is pretty nice (unless you're a sound whore ofcoarse) if you're thinking about a soundcard, that will set you back a nice 300 bucks for the best models!! I hope you liked my reply message, I'll appreciate it if you do
good luck with your life and career, and maybe that I helped you now, you can repay me by helping me in those programs that you use, thanks for reading this and a hundred thanks, I know that it's too long and even if you couldn't bare until this moment of reading I can understand.
