Would this optical drive work with this port/cable?

Solution
It's and IDE Drive and unless your motherboard has an IDE port, you'd either have to use an adapter ($6-$10) or just drop the $17 for a new SATA drive. I suspect that the drive will work with any OS. That page has probably not been updated since Vista was released. As defunct technology, I wouldn't expect tech specs to be updated regularly.

If I did buy a new drive, would a sata 3GB drive work with my sata 6GB motherboard?
