What does it exactly do? And what is the benefit of having more shaders? Thanks a lot. I just noticed that PS4 has more shaders than XBOX One.

It is a basic computational processor. GPU's will use hundreds and thousands of them to calculate and render a frame.

Will the PS4 have better performance then because it has more shaders than XBOX One or will there be minimal to no difference at all?

We'll have to wait and see, but a lot of people seem to think so. There are other parts of a card that matter as well, and not all shaders are the same, as with Nvidia's CUDA cores, which are pretty much the same thing, except per CUDA core, they get more power, and they are larger per CUDA core, but they have fewer of them typically.

The PS4 will have better graphical capabilities than the XBOX ONE for a few reasons including the shaders. The choice of memory (GDDR5) is one feature as well as some of the tweaks they made to the GPU.

It will likely take a while until the PS4 developers really hit their stride to optimize it's potential but in general we should see a difference right away.

The XBOX ONE should have better Cloud support. While this can enhance the gaming experience it's difficult to say by how much, and how many games will benefit from this type of feature.

*We really won't know how much difference there is between the consoles in graphics until they are released and people can compare them.
