Hello,
I'm looking to upgrade my previous HTPC to be able to play games. It will be powering a 1080p monitor. I currently use the integrated graphics on the chip, but I'm looking to upgrade with a dedicated graphics card.

My current system runs an Intel i3 530, 4GB RAM on Windows 7.

My goal is to run most titles at 1080p with frame rates >40 at medium settings. I don't need anything cutting edge by any stretch.

What is the best graphics solution for me at the moment? I was eyeing the Radeon HD 7770 but honestly I don't know much about graphics cards.

Thanks for the suggestions.

7770 would do it fine, but be sure to compare the price of the one you were looking at to the 650ti Boost. It offers the best price to performance right now, ideal for 1080p, it's not usually more than a few $ more than the 7770.

It sounds like you all agree that the HD 7770 is a good solution. I'll also keep an eye out for the 650ti boost.

Thanks!
