Hello,

I just recently replaced my power supply, and as I was booting it up I noticed the MOBO would not display, and instead it shows a blank screen for about 10 seconds then skips straight to the windows login screen. Additionally my monitor says I need to check my video cable during the blank screen.

Its a little bothersome since I do want the option to go into my BIOS if I ever need to.

My build for my PC is:
ASRock Z77 Extreme 4
Sapphire HD 7870 Ghz Edition
Intel i5 3570k

I appreciate any help that I can get!

Out of curiosity, have you actually tried to go into the bios during the blank screen? Your board has the new EUFI bios screen so I can't tell you where to go but usually AsRock gives an option in the bios to do full screen splash screens. I can't seem to remember exactly what my bios calls it but it was in the HDD setup screen. Maybe for some odd reason this got set wrong?

EDIT: Just did a restart to find what they called it. They call it "Full Screen Logo". On the old style bios it is under the Boot section.

Have you tried pushing your enter BIOS key, immediately after the POST beep?

I'm not sure how your PC works but every PC I have owned once the Post beep is heard there is no way to enter the bios. The only thing you can do is restart with Ctrl+Alt+Delete before windows starts to load.

Really? I can't enter until I hear it... Maybe there is something wrong with mine(mobo is GA-Z77X-D3H if your curious). Anyway, djam, can you enter your bios? Can you borrow another monitor to test at start-up?

Sorry for the late response, but thanks nevertheless for responding back!

Anywho I just tried to see if I can enter into the BIOS (I honestly can't remember how to get into it exactly but I think its F2 or DEL), and I noticed that the time it stays in the black screen is longer so that could imply that I entered into the BIOS but it doesn't show.

Also I did try plugging it into into another monitor and it still shows the same results. :/

You can enter windows fine correct? you can go into windows and it will display every thing?

make sure that all wire connections are plugged in tightly if you have not already since you have changed the PSU and then the issue started.

is your Post beep normal since you swapped the PSU? not beeping more than before?

make sure the ram and all cards are seated correctly.

Uhh well first, my MOBO/case didn't come with a MOBO speaker and I thought since it was a new build I didn't expect my PSU to crap out so early causing weird problems.

So I did check all my wiring and whatnot and as I started it up, nothing shows up at all on the monitor. Another thing to note is that the LEDs on the MOBO start up a bit then just turn off completely. So yeah. I'm even more confused than I was before. :/
