I have a Logisys 480 watt power supply that came with the case. It is 8 months old. Lately, sometimes the computer turns off randomly. It happens very often when I'm running more intensive applications. I can't always reproduce it. So do I need a new power supply? Logisys RMA requires me to ship it to them, but I don't want a new one that only lasts a few months. If I need a new power supply, and I don't want to use the RMA, would a Corair CX430 work for my build? Here's my specs:

A10-5800K APU
3 SATA HDs
Saphire 1gb DDR5 6670
8gb Crucial Ballistix DDR3 1866 memory

Solution
Yes a 430w Corsair will power those specs.

Solution
That Logisys 480W PSU isn't 480 Watts continuous. It can't even deliver the 330 Watts average that it claims.

What's worse is that the ripple is out of spec and that leads to system instability.

Its maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 16 Amps is too weak.

The Corsair CX430 is vastly superior to that Logisys PS480 trash and will have no problem powering your system configuration.

Ok, thanks. Do you think the problems I'm experiencing are caused by the PSU though? I don't want to replace a power supply and not solve the problem, even if my current one is really crappy.
