First I want to thank any of you that take the time to respond.

I am looking for a graphics card or cards that would fit the following specs and needs.

What I have:

Motherboard MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine)

AMD A10-5700

TDP: 65W
Operating speed: 3.4 GHz (up to 4.0 GHz turbo)
Number of cores: 4
Socket: FM2

Expansion Slots:

1 PCI Express x16 (Gen 2.0)
3 PCI Express x1 (Gen 2.0)
1 PCI Express Mini Card (Gen 2.0)

For all specs please see http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Docume...

I am currently using:

Onboard video card and a

EVGA 512-P3-1311-KR GeForce 210 Passive Video Card - 512MB, DDR3, PCI-Express 2.0 (x16), HDMI, VGA, DVI, DirectX 10, Single-Slot, Low Profile

I would like to run 4 27 inch monitors that will show all monitors as 1 screen for games but also as separate screens for working on school projects. Currently I dont do any video editing but I do watch movies a lot. It would be nice to be able to watch a movie and work on office applications at the same time.

Is there a video card that I can get that would support 4 monitors or would I need to get 2? I have a budget of $300 that I would like to stick under.

I am sorry if this is a confusing post. Usually I research it out for myself and dont post to much.

Thank you

Most modern cards support 4 screens. A lot of the lower end ones won't, but as long as you are spending coin then you should be ok. What is your budget and PSU?

Ouch. 300W stock PSU. That's going to be a problem. A 300W Stock OEM PSU probably isn't going to let you run any of Nvidia's GPUs that can run 4 monitors. The GTX650 maybe as that's around 100W, but a system gaming with such a setup would probably hit near 200W and I'm not sure of that PSUs real ability. And I don't see any 4 monitor cards on newegg right now that I would trust. They do have one that will do 3 monitors if that works. But it's still a pretty low end gaming card.

Thank you very much. I know... my computer really sucks. I am looking at these monitors as an investment into my next several computers. I may have to upgrade the computer system before I upgrade the monitors.

Thanks again!

Hey,

I would suggest you take a look at the GTX 760. It costs roughly $249 and is a great bang for the buck. It offers some very nice performance, and it can run 4 monitors (however you can't game on all four ;)  but you should be fine running four monitors for general tasks). Your CPU isn't very powerful and will likely be a bottleneck, however the graphics card would give you a nice boost, while supporting 4 monitors.

You will however need to upgrade your power supply. I would suggest you get a high quality 500 watt PSU with at least two 6 pin PCI-E power connectors. There are many good brands out there like Seasonic, Corsair, Antec and many others, the list is pretty long.
Check out this list for recommended power supplies:

Hope this helps!

Thank you. It is nice to know that there are actually people out there that have an idea of what is going on and are actually willing to share. I hadnt thought about updating the power supply at all. That will work great in the interim while I get all of my video needs set up.
