I just upgraded my router to the Asus RT-N66U and found that it had a feature to setup an attached USB HD for access via FTP. I created the DNS name <host_name>.asuscomm.com and I am able to remotely access the Hard Drive. However, it isn't much use for me at the moment because I am unable to figure out the following problems.
1. I can easily access documents for viewing and download. However, movies (e.g. MP4) I am unable to figure out how to download.
2. When I click on a movie it opens a new window to stream. The stream never works but I am sure that I have an MP4 codec. Any other ideas why this may be occurring?
3. Can you open the FTP webpage in Windows Explorer to easily download, upload and modify files and folders?
