In a few weeks I'm going to be purchasing all the parts for a full build. With the new haswell extreme i7 supposedly coming out in that same window I'm a little lost on the best motherboard to choose.

I'm looking for an intel mobo for either the i7 3970x or the i7 4960x (if it comes out in time). As of now I'm planning on getting the asus rampage iv extreme, but after looking into mobos a bit more i've become entirely confused by all of the options.

So in short, I need some help finding the best possible gaming mobo regardless of price. It should be able to fit the thermaltake frio ock cpu fan and be able to support 4 gtx titans.

As I said before, currently the asus rampage iv extreme seems like my best fit.
Any help with finding my ideal mobo is greatly appreciated.

The best for gaming are the ASUS Rebublic of Gaming without fail, the Rampage IV Extreme would be the best. There are however, reports of Intel releasing a new Extreme series of CPUs using the Haswell architecture, called the Haswell-E. The leaks suggest it should be coming out later this year, and will support LGA 2011-3 socket. Might be worth waiting for, ASUS should release a new refreshed series of the LGA2011 ROG motherborads around then too...

Thanks for the help guys, I think I'll go with the rampage iv extreme for now since my current mobo is kaputt and I can't wait past the beginning of September. I appreciate all the quick answers!
