Hey Everyone

I just built a new rig which consists of 3 Asus gtx 780's.

I am very interested in getting 3 yamakasi catleaps and running them in surround setup.

I am wondering if this is achievable? These monitors only have a dual link dvi-d input. Will i simply be able to have each gpu running its own monitor?

If anyone is running 3 of these monitors your opinions of the setup would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

I believe you will have 2 monitors connected off the first card, and the third off the second. On the first card use the Dual-link DVI cable and display port to dual-link dvi cable. Then on the second card you use another display port to dual-ink dvi cable. You will also need an active adapter to run NVIDIA surround.

@unksol I believe his question was about not using all the hook ups on the first card. There have been issues by not using all the available ports on the first graphics card before plugging stuff into the second graphics card in eyefinity/surround setups. In this case the hdmi port is useless for the catleap. He wants to know if the third monitor will still work because he is skipping that hdmi port and moving the second card for the display port or dual link dvi.

Thanks for the response.
I didn't even know about these issues, i am just skeptical about buying cheap Korean monitors that seem too good to be true.
So it will not work running a monitor off each card separately?
If i did it the way you are saying would i be running the cards in sli or would i be making my 3rd card redundant?

It will use all 3 cards.
On my previous crossfire set up I had to have all monitors hooked up to my first card. If I tried to hook up 2 to the first and 1 to the second it would not work for me. So I had all monitors hooked up to my first card and crossfire ran fine.

Here is a youtube video with 3 catleaps on SLI with 4 680s. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAz5yx5V9hY
The guy doing the video has a cool thread on the catleaps. The link is under the video. His review is somewhere in the thread. If you have issues setting it up you might just ask him.
