Computer for beginning graphic designer

Hello,

I am just starting out as a graphic designer, I mainly use adobe products now (photoshop, illustrator etc..) But I would like to learn how to render in 3d images for an interior design company.

I dont know the first thing about processors, systems or ram...any of it! I would like to learn what I need to about the systems so I can purchase a good comouter for this career im embarking on.

Please help me find what I should in a good computer!

By the way, a great mac for this is an iMac or even a Macmini(which my mother uses, although it is a bit slow) : http://www.apple.com/imac/ http://www.apple.com/mac-mini/

My father is a graphics designer and uses adobe products every day. For graphics design, he uses a Mac and has for 30 years. Adobe products are really optimized for it and macs are very fast and reliable. If you plan to game as well, you can run windows games(just saying). You will find them easier to setup and use than a pc.

Thank you, I have been researching and people seem to keep recommending Mac computers for graphic design. I think I might just go down there and check it out myself. Thank you again!
