Laptop screen problem

I tried to reboot the OS of my Asus laptop but suddenly there appear vertical lines and sometimes into green color...please help.....

You can test the laptop by linking it to another monitor to make sure the screen has gone and not the graphics adapter but I'm fairly sure it's the screen. You can find a replacement screen on e-Bay and fit it yourself but it is better to get a professional PX fixer to do it for you.

You might expect to pay the equivalent of £100 British including the fixing charges - it's way under an hour's work - so assess that against the value of the laptop. Generally, if it's young enough to have come with Windows 7, it's worth repairing.
