i want to get a cpu mobo ram upgrade for my hd 6850 soon. i just need to know if there is a point in getting the fx6300 over the fx4300 for just gaming. ive heard that no games use more than 4 cores so i was thinking the fx6300's spare cores could handle physx and not affect game performance negatively . is this the case?

look i wud say u have read wrong sources
crysis 3 uses all 6 cores of a phenom ll 1090t
and most latest games like bf3 uses them too so i would say go for a 6300 and a good gpu and physx is a thing that u shud be least cared
