The main monitor I am using is HP W2071d LEG Blacklit Monitor which is connected to the AVG port. The second monitor I am trying to connect is emachines E181H TFT LCD Flat Panel Monitor to the DVI-I port using an AVG -> DVI adapter. It shows no signal with the DVI-I port.

Could it be the adapter? The adapter shows that it is DVI-A but on the package it says it is compatible with DVI-I ports.

Am I not able to connect both AVG and DVI at the same time? Also if that were the case, why can't I connect to the second AVG port on my computer, the one closer to the top?

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor
Display device: AMD Radeon HD 6670

what most likely is the case is that the DVI port on your graphics card is digital output only so a DVI-I to VGA adapter will not work.

what radeon hd 6670 do you have?

@ur6beersaway, how would I go about doing that?

@mauller07, I'm not sure, where should I look to check?

Sorry, I'm not the best with things like this.
Also, thank you for replying & trying to help. I appreciate it.

look for a brand name on the card itself like on the heatsink cover or fan.

you could try the hdmi output if your monitor has hdmi input or a tv with hdmi.

usually if your monitor has hdmi it would have a DVI input so try either if you have it.

and no it does not help, i need to know the BRAND of card so i need you to look at the card itself.
