What RAM would you recommend buying for the G1 Sniper 3? Has anyone had memory issues with that specific board? I was thinking of getting G-Skill Ripjaw or Corsair RAM modules but just want to know if there is any compatiblity issues...

You can go with Non-ECC DDR3-1600MHz/ 1866MHz/ 2133MHz(maybe not) DIMMs. Yep, both GSkill and Corsair are good brands and both 'em are compatible. To play it safe you can go with either 1600MHz or 1866MHz both speeds are stable. Theoretically, even 2133MHz should play nice but may need some tweakin in the BIOS.

I assume you are looking for 8GB kit or 16GBkit so try getting something similar to the below listed:

Else if you need detailed info about the memory try contacting one of the supports Corsair, Gskill, crucial and maybe Memorystock. Cheers!!

LGA 1155 is a dead socket, so I'm going to assume you're not gonna upgrade for a while? The only downside to upgrading to haswell is worse temperature(I think its due to the crappier TIM used inside the CPU) and a bit more expensive motherboards. Performance is about 5-10%.
