What RAM would you recommend buying for the G1 Sniper 3? Has anyone had memory issues with that specific board? I was thinking of getting G-Skill Ripjaw or Corsair RAM modules but just want to know if there is any compatiblity issues...
I want to go with the 3770k? Thought it might be a good fit... Is Sandy Bridge E better than ivy or not realy I know ivy bridge is A newer chipset but not sure bout the performance though...
You can go with Non-ECC DDR3-1600MHz/ 1866MHz/ 2133MHz(maybe not) DIMMs. Yep, both GSkill and Corsair are good brands and both 'em are compatible. To play it safe you can go with either 1600MHz or 1866MHz both speeds are stable. Theoretically, even 2133MHz should play nice but may need some tweakin in the BIOS.
3770K would be good, DRAM wise it should take up to 2400 with no problem (possibly higher, maybe 2666), SB-E is overall better than IB but also much more expensive.. For most anybody IB is more than enough
Thank you all for your answers it has realy helped me alot and I have A much better idea of what to get know.. The G.Skill RAM I think is A winner.. And last but not least what graphics card would you recommend..? I was looking at the 650 TI?
LGA 1155 is a dead socket, so I'm going to assume you're not gonna upgrade for a while? The only downside to upgrading to haswell is worse temperature(I think its due to the crappier TIM used inside the CPU) and a bit more expensive motherboards. Performance is about 5-10%.
