I bought a new corsair 4gb ram and the system fails to boot.

clear cmos , 99% of the time when installing a new ram ur cmos have a hard time adapting since its used to the old one , so u power down ur computer , pull out the power cable , remove all rams , remove the battery for 20 seconds , put the battery back in put rams back in and power ur computer up and see what happens

You can not just buy any ddr3 high-speed ram and put it any motherboard. Your motherboard bored does not support that ram sorry to say:( You need to find out what the best ram your motherboard can support is and purchase that ram. I suggest refunding if possible.
