I can't seem to get a straight answer anywhere. So "I" will ask the question and hopefully get it answered 'correctly'.
What is the 'correct' card to match with an AMD A10-6800k APU, in order to Crossfire them together, and get the 'best' performance for the buck?
My problem is this: I bought an A6-5800k and was pretty impressed with the performance. [I have always bought Intel] So I recently bought an AMD A10-6800k APU and put in my system. Even 'better' than the A6!
So now I want a 'new' GPU [Graphics Card] to pair together with my A10 APU. Here are my specs:
AMD A10-6800k APU with AMD Radeon HD 8670D graphics
Gigabyte GA-F2A75M-D3H MoBo
Corsair Vengence 16GB DDR3 1866Mhz Mem
Cool Master eXtreme 700 PSU
Back to my original question: What GPU is 'best' to Crossfire with this APU?
Some help please? "Before" I buy the wrong one....
Thank you

I have read 'multiple' articles saying an HD 7750 GPU would Crossfire with this APU. I'm looking for the 'best' card to Crossfire with.
This is why I ask. Too many conflicting answers.

I play all my games @ 1080p...so I am looking for the 'best' card I can Crossfire with this APU...or should I just go ahead and get a discreet card all by itself? If so, which?
PS: I mostly play World of Warcraft, but also have Tomb Raider, BF3, Modern Warfare, etc.
I'm gonna go peek at the 7870 :)

Last I looked it up the top GPU you could use was a 6670 but even after the crossfire you'd get better frames with a just a 7770 and wouldn't have to deal with all the problems of crossfire. If I were you I'd honestly drop crossfire and go for a card like the 7850. But if you do want to do it, a 6670 is your card of choice

hmmm...I have been to the AMD website, and I cannot, for the life of me, fina any info, as far as 'What can the A10-6800k APU can Crossfire with'...where did you look up that info? because I keep finding 7750 as the card of choice for Crossfiring.
I'm not doubting your info, but this is why I started this thread.

He might as well go with a fx chip if hes going to buy a discret graphics card the reason to use a apu is to use the gpu also something like the best of both worlds in one package the ave frames are around 30 for most games on medium and low settings with the apu only.

Good choice...I am actually looking at the ASUS DirectCU II HD7790-DC20C-2GD5 GPU...it has a core clock of 1076Mhz and a Memory Clock of 6400Mhz. Pretty decent card, right? I mostly plzy WoW, D3, Dead Island, Tomb Raider, BF3 and a few more first person shooter games. This will do, right? [until I go back to work and build my 3k Dream machine]...droooolllll....lolz

What AMD STATES IS A 6670 SO IF YOU WANT TO GO BEYOND THAT AND IT DONT WORK THEN YOUR SOL. DO SOME RESEARCH a apu is for low and mid gaming if you want the best of the best intel if you want upper end amd 8350 and a radeon 7950 or NVidia 760 that's as good as it gets on a straight answer The apu is for low and medium game play read toms articles about crossfire .

I agree with the op above but the i3 HAVE BETTER SINGLE THREADED specs then quad core only on the single unless you beat it to death and overclock it as mention the crossfire with apu and gpu card isn't worth it sure the apu chip is great I do own 2 of them but both system use a vid card as well none are crossfire with the chip it self.
