I was looking at a Viewsonic VX2450WM-LED 24-Inch (23.6-Inch Vis) Widescreen LED Monitor with Full HD 1080p and Speakers, but I was wondering if any of you guys have a better choice?

Well, since your specs are quite high you will get great FPS at 1080p, but you can game with these specs at 1440p (Beyond HD) so here's some moniters which are great for gaming :

1080p Monitor : http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-VE247H-Widescreen-Intellig...
1440p Monitor : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-UltraSharp-U2713HM-Widescr...
