Storage: Samsung 840 Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($176.98 @ Newegg)

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($85.98 @ Outlet PC)

GPU Video Card: PNY GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card ($613.99 @ SuperBiiz)

Case: NZXT Switch 810 (Black) ATX Full Tower Case ($154.99 @ NCIX US)

Power Supply: XFX ProSeries 1050W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($139.99 @ NCIX US)

Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($17.98 @ Outlet PC)

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit) ($88.98 @ Amazon)

And here is what desk I have

I was looking at a Viewsonic VX2450WM-LED 24-Inch (23.6-Inch Vis) Widescreen LED Monitor with Full HD 1080p and Speakers, but I was wondering if any of you guys have a better choice?

Well, since your specs are quite high you will get great FPS at 1080p, but you can game with these specs at 1440p (Beyond HD) so here's some moniters which are great for gaming :
