Hello,

I'm wondering if the extra money the NF-F12's cost is worth it compared to the SP120 quiet edition. The SP120's cost less and look nicer. I'd be using them to replace the stock fans on a Corsair H80i.

Thanks!

The "stock" fans on the H80i ARE SP120 Quite edition fans.

The Noctua's are probably better but not so much that I would not recommend the SP120, I have a set of those and one had a whine to it for a while but that has sense gone away. I have a Noctua CPU cooler though and I don't hear that at all when it's the only thing running. Just look at the CFM and DB ratings and decide if the difference is worth the difference in price (CFM better when higher generally, DB better lower, higher CFM generally results in higher DB's).

Hmmm as far as I know they are the quiet ones, but no matter, why don't you just add the adapter in to slow them down? They are the same fans mostly, only dif is the operating speed.

So am I fine going with the stock fans?

I think so, yes, if you want it to be quieter there are many cheap adapters that will limit the current to the fans.
If you want better performance, you will need to spend a lot more money as the SP120s are pretty good as is.
