FX 8350- One Core Fluctuating

I have a fx 8350 cpu. One weird thing that I am seeing is core 0 is fluctuating from 1404mhz to 4017 mhz while all the others stay at 4017. Coolnquiet is off so I have no idea what the problem could be.

Have you disabled Turbo, and any other 'core boost' function ??

I am also using core temp to view cpu temp and speeds

The thing is it only fluctuates at core 0. All other cores stay the same. Would this be a sign of damage? Should I return my cpu and get a replacement?

Seems a bit weird ... but I always use the 'Tweaker' utilities to manage load and OC.

Have you tried the Microsoft FX patch? It's meant to better schedule threads across the FX modules, but may be of some assistance for you ...
