Long-time lurker and used this site many-a-time for great research. However I can't find a thread comparing these 2 cards.
Basically I'm doing my first new-build in 4yrs and have sorted the specs apart from a dilemma between 2 great graphics cards. Have always had Nvidia cards, but I'm no fanboy and simply want the best bang for my buck!
The 2 options I've whittled it down to are either:
1. VTX3D HD 7870 Black Boost Edition 2048MB (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-013-VX) - £155.99 (~$240)
or
2. Asus GTX 660 Ti DirectCU II OC (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-asus-gtx-660-ti-directcu-ii-oc-28nm-6008mhz-gddr5-gpu-967mhz-boost-1058mhz-cores-1344-2x-dl-dvi-) - £179.59 (~$277)
What do you think I should go for, is there really £25/$40 speed/power difference between these cards?
