hello all! i finally got my pc up and running.. up until i try to install my gtx 770. everything works fine on integrated graphics (i'm typing on my new pc right now).

parts list:

asus z87 pro
evga gtx 770 oc
intel i7 4770k
psu is corsair hx750

when i plug the card into the pci express slot, the fans work but i get no signal (using hdmi cord) and when i have the card plugged into the mobo but the hdmi cord plugged into the mobo instead of the gtx 770 it won't boot. the only way for it to work is to take the gtx 770 out all together.

the q_codes on the mobo jumped around from 54, ae, 99 and finally to a0.

More about : signal install gtx 770

Just checking, but did you make sure to plug the power into the card? It should require two six pin plugs from the PSU.

yes. one 6 and one 8 pin and both are connected to the psu. they are pci-e cords as well.

Did you disable integrated graphics in the BIOS.
