I've a budget of around 500$. Is that 7870 Ghz the best valued GPU out there??? I would go for a 7950 but the rebate was off so they're like 220$ now.

Building this for my dad, who mainly web surf and only game sometimes.

MSI is great, just that particular board has cheap parts.

The only thing bad about that setup is the motherboard, that board is known for having capacitor issues especially when overclocking so :

Idk, I heard pretty good things about MSI boards. Also, the reviews seemed alright, and it has a combo on it.

My dad's not going to be over clocking it at all.

I'm really confused on what GPU i should get. 7950, 7870 Ghz, or go with the green team of 660 ti

Or should i downgrade to a 7850 for like 30$ less.

I'm confused as to what is the best price for performance

It has no VRM cooling, so as long as the PC isnt put under long periods of high load and isn't OCed it should be fine.
