i just built my first custom pc... asrock z77 intel i7 3770k and a sapphire radeon hd 7970... problem is that the graphics card is not recognized by the motherboard... the fans are also not spinning... i have not updated the bios but i have tried other pci slots... please help also everything else works fine
its up and running just not the graphics card

try swapping in a known working PSU.

the psu is working... the only thing not working in the build is the gpu... no fans not detected by the mobo... nothing... im using the chipset video right now...

Tell me about that "working" PSU... sometimes they produce some power but not enough.

its a new corsair ax1200 acording to a few random watt calcs i found online i needed a 1000 watt psu... so i got a 1200 watt for headroom and upgrading latter down the line...

yes, its connected... both of them are, that was one of the first things i checked...
