Hey there,
I recently been interested in what exactly this means. I basically know it deletes all of your files pretty much. If im correct. My computer is not very slow but I only have a bit of memory left on my hard drive and would like to get rid of all these junk files that I see. I'm wanting to look into this and see if its necessary for the fact that i ordered a new cpu and mb.

If you find it that its necessary for me to do this I would like to know any steps or tips or any information you can provide. Thanks for any help :)

I have steam as well your games are backed up on the cloud or persay the net even if you format your drive then re install steam log into your account your games will be there waiting for you to download them again. Maybe its time for a bigger drive as well these days 500 is tiny I can remember when 500 megabyte was big lol but a terrabyte would be more then 500 because a 500 equals only like 465 gig after windows fat. Hope this helps
If you format your drive it will erase everything and I would do a full format not a quick sometime your drive gets old and sluggish sometimes a format will renew speed to your old drive. Have you thought about putting some of your files on thumb drives games ect pics songs music or a on a CD OR DVD?. To free up space.

I've had the thought I have a 500GB external HDD. But my main hard drive consist of Steam Games and i'm not sure if Steam Games can even be backed up or placed on an External HDD. But if so I will more then gladly do so and move them to my external.

I do alot of video editing and videos are on my external.
