First System Start Issues

So I started my computer up for the first time, all fans running, nothing blew up in my face (yay). However, I'm having issues. The first time I had issues with the device LED staying red. I also had a long beep followed by 3 short beeps (supposedly a no vga detected) . So I shut my computer down and restarted it and and it worked, nothing stayed red and only 1 short beep at the beginning which I don't think means anything bad. However, the screen stayed black (well, said no signal then went black). Now, it could be due to a bad screen connection (won't stay in), but I'm not sure, I managed to hold the connection so that it stops saying no signal.

To me it seems like the motherboard is saying "there is nothing wrong here" but I don't see anything so obviously info isn't being sent somewhere. Does the first POST take longer than I thought or something?

At the same time, my ASUS board has a bios flashback option where I can flash the bios from a USB without having anything turned on..should I do that or try powering on first?

i have a question about that if you are familiar with asus bios flashback. do i just download and extract the file to the usb and then let it do its thing or do i have to do something to it first (assuming it's already a cap file)

it says something about putting it in the root folder, does this just mean make sure the file isnt in any other folders?

well, it seems to be updating at the moment

but as a side question while it's doing so: does a usb wireless keyboard/mouse run fine on a brand new system? or do i need to wait until i install other stuff first

update went through according to the led, started the system up, it restarted itself and booted up but still the same problem (no signal detected)

im thinking it's a loose connection to the screen, but i did test and so im not so sure: when i dont hold the cable and let it slide out it says no cable connected; when i hold it into the slot it says no signal detected

but what im not sure about is if it managed to post correctly. there was only 1 short beep from the system speaker i installed (which doesnt correspond to anything so i think it's just a power on beep) and none of the led stay red for more than a moment or 2 (although the device led next to the usb 3.0 header seems to stay red the longest if that means anything)

i'll give it a try. is it something i can properly in ai suite (it gives the option) or would doing it in bios be a better option?

the board also has a MemOK button. I think it's mainly for boot issues, but do you know enough about the button to know if it would help here?
