Hi Guys,

I've noticed there are a lot of cheap high-res( 2560x1440 ) monitors appearing online, such places include eBay and amazon.

Problem is, I've never heard of the brand, which is worrying and the price seems to good to be true; the normal rule of thumb with that is 'it probably is'.

So can anyone fill me in on this? Is there a catch? why are they so cheap?

thanks

they are cheap because they use the pannels that apple doesnt want so basically you are getting a to a- grade pannels instead of a+ which means that there is a higher fail risk. about 85 percent. however i think that its worth the risk 250 dollar monitor where others are 1000. i would just get a perfect pixel model

I never understand these fail rate percentages. I could put a 100% rate on a mechanical hard drive as it's guaranteed to fail one day.
