Hey guys, I have a Asus P8Z77-V LK Motherboard and I was wondering if Motherboards can really cause freezes during gaming, listening to music? My CPU is perfect, RAM has no errors on Memtest, PSU 750W and GPU is also a refurbished one from EVGA which was tested and certified. Can I make the final conclusion and RMA my motherboard before trying anything else? Any suggestions? Tips? Help will be much appreciated.

NOTE: I put my GPU in both slots and have tried using different Dims in different slots for my RAM. PC still freezes during load. Have ran prime95 for my CPU and passed everything so far.

You didn't mention your Storage drive. Are you streaming and gaming from the same hard drive? It seems suspicious to me that you could prime 95 but not game, when gaming loads would probably be less intense. unless, like the other guy mentions, it's the GPU (which would be more believable)

What makes me think of this is I used to record fraps & play games, and that would cause freezing due to HDD bottleneck. I'm not sure how you would test it, but it's good to consider before going through a motherboard RMA.

good luck!

No Brother, I dont stream nor do i use fraps or anything to record gameplay, I doubt I can test the HDD in anyway. The problem is an hardware issue. I have had a few BSODs that mentione unccorrctable hardware error. But I am going to borrow a friends GPU and give that a test. Thanks for the advice
