Have a new laptop. I am getting random red/blue tint. It is kind of hard to see at times, but I can see it and it is very annoying and makes it difficult to read text on the screen.

I took a screenshot of it, but it didn't show up in the screenshot. It is only in viewable, selectable text.

More about : red blue tint random lettering

ANy issues like this on a new laptop, I would contact the seller/manufacturer and request a fix, no point in beating around the bush.

I have already had two of these laptops and both did it. It won't be something they'll repair. I think it is something to do with the AMD graphics on this thing.

Doesn't matter how many you have, if the fault can constantly be recreated by yourself and them, they have an obligation to repair/replace. If it was me, I would demand a refund and go for another model.

It really isn't that big of a deal. I suspect that there is a simple solution to it. I just don't know what. It isn't the letters that are tinted, it is more like an aura around certain letters.

I have already sent this thing in for overheating and Acer wouldn't fix it because 'nothing is wrong with it'. I have shipped this laptop out enough (like 3-4 times). Had it for two months now but only used it for maybe a week out of those two.

Also, just realized, that red and blue tint is only when I hook this thing up through HDMI. Words on the screen of the laptop look fine.

My TV is'nt going bad because it doesn't happen on either of my other laptops, PC's or tablets. The only difference between the computers and this new laptop is that this one has AMD CCC.

Fixed the problem.

In Catalyst Control Center there is the option "Pixel Format".
It gives different settings. All of the setting's except for one make the lettering on the screen display a redish/blue tint.

YCbCr 4:2:2 solved it for me. It is back to normal.

If anyone else has this problem, this may work for you.
