Hey everybody, speccing a project for a friend.

He wants a mobo, cpu, ram, case, psu, and hdd or possibly an ssd, but he'll be getting a video card in a month or so.

Anyone have any recommendations? Also, I've never spent any substantial amount of time with a GPU-less box, is it bearable or should I budget some $50 card to get him by?
