I've been running my Acer with a Vizio TV dual-screen (via HDMI) for a long time now.

Last night after the Laptop went into hibernation, after I turned it back on there was no display on the TV despite it being recognised.

After a Windows Update, the laptop is no longer detecting any other display devices being plugged in, despite the fact that the cable and the TV work perfectly fine with my other Acer.

I've done a System Restore, rolled back drivers, updated them, restarted a bazillion and played with every setting i can think of.

Any suggestions?

get the latest display drivers and grab a program called driver fusion.

uninstall current driver and dont restart.
run driver fusion and clean your brand of display driver then restart.
install latest display drivers again.

see if this helps, sounds like a driver issue.

Okay I will try that, will get back to you if it works (or doesn't).
Thank you so much for the reply! :)
