This is my very first build and I have around a $1400 dollar budget. I'll probably buy the parts next week and before I do I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions.

gives you the possibility to SLI in the future if more performance is needed. Also faster and cheaper memory and a cheaper but just as good psu.

Maybe an aftermarket CPU cooler if there is a little more budget?

but two 760's in SLI beat a 780? Did you do it that way because Sli can be a pain sometimes?

Yes i did do it that way because sli can be a pain also, but a GTX780 is more than enough for today's games, no need to go over the top :p. And having the possibility to upgrade cheap in the future is always nice
