Over at the gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 owners club thread, people, over the course of 650 pages in the thread are bashing the fx-8350 paired with this mobo because of huge VRM issues causing overheating, leading to throttling of the CPU and warping of the mobo! BAAAAAAAAAAD

Now I bought my Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 at fry's 12 days ago and I have another 2 days to return it; however, I would not like to spend extra money because Im on a tight budget and the only other board at Fry's Electronics is an Asus MSA99X evo for $140 vs the $150 for my Gigabyte. So...is it a wise choice for overclocking my 8350 which I'm going to buy in a few days to return my mobo and get the asus one? WHich is better for overclocking an 8350?

Solution
go with the asus one because that gigabyte does overclock but doesn't let you go to high thats why that bord also fell out off my list off possible motherboard. And well you are saying that it has an overheating issue witch is true a sertain ocs so just go and get the asus and in your case do it FAST.
