Hi everyone! I Don't know if this is the right place to post this thread but anyway.
I'm new to this modding thing so i wanted to ask.
Can i use this 5 25" switches ? (Lamptron Hummer 5-Port )

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002R835DC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A23NVCSO4PYH3S

with this RGB LED strips?

http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/rgb-bars-and-strips/nfls-rgbx2-series-high-power-rgb-led-flexible-light-strips/1470/

Would i be able to change colors and combine them by switching on or off each one of the switches? Of course i will only be using three of them.

Sorry for my terrible English.

This is the circuit i'm planning to use.

It would work but you would have to mod thing a bit. Those lights take a 12v DC power source, common anode, and use 3 different grounds, cathode, for turning the lights on. That type of switch is made for basically sending 12v DC and ground down each connection when a switch is flipped, which you don't want or need.

It could be done easily and 5 mins with a soldering iron, some extra wire and some heatshrink and I would wire it up so the first 3 switches do Red, Green, Blue and the forth one would do white. It's just hard to explain how to do it, or draw a diagram. I'm not much of a schematic guy, just know what to do with electronics and do it.

You would be able set basic colors easily with the switches.

Red, Blue, Green and any combination of those 2 or 3 colors on to make purples and other colors. The controller does it make 10x easier and the ability to select from a bunch of pre-defined colors for many more shades of the rainbow, but it's certainly not needed.
