I have an intel core quad, I was going to get a mother board and around a $80 Video card ( like an gtx550ti) but i noticed for the same price I could get a bundled AMD APU and board for around the same price give or take $10.

Microcenter offers it bundled with board for $150.
Would it be better buy to get the apu combo new, or to get a Board and Card (possibly used) to go wih the core 2 Quad?
I would like to play Path of Exile, Neverwinter, and perhaps Everquest Next, or GW2. low-med settings are OK as long as it is not too laggy.
Thank You for any advice

The Core 2 Quad was released a few years ago, however it should still be able to run most modern games at low - medium settings, as you stated above.
It's going to be hard to find a motherboard for it however, as it is LGA 775.

Personally however, if you can't spend at least $120 on your graphics card however, I would recommend going with an APU.
According to my research, the AMD APU is around the equivalent of the 550ti anyway.

So in the end, I would go with an APU.

I am to preface this with saying I am not an Intel fanboy - I am using a 8150 and it is a beast. Regardless, if you already have a processor I think the Core 2 Quad will get the job done for the moment. Too bad you don't have room in your budget to upgrade the cards to a 2GB 650ti. That will handle all of those games at high settings without breaking a sweat.
