Small Business Server 2008 Security / Group Policy

Can someone give me some assistance as to how I can stop users on my SBS 2008 Domain from shutting down their computers. I know there is a way to setup group policy so that they cannot see the shutdown button or have that option. Thank you so much for your assistance.

  1. in Group Policy it is a user setting so you need to apply to user accounts (or computer account with loopback processing) and is under 'User Configuration - Administrative Templates -Start Menu and Taskbar' and is called 'Remove and Prevent Access to the Shut Down, Restart, Sleep and Hibernate Commands' edit and set to enabled.

It's a local computer user policy. It's not configured by default so you should be able to override it with a domain policy as long as the computer is a member of the domain.
