I've seen a couple promotions regarding a software download called RAMDisk. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how this works, and why it would reduce loading and gaming times. Or, is it just a gimmic? Thanks.

They have a free 4GB version (or buy for larger sizes) that you can use to create a disk using DRAM. You can load your games on the drive to speed things up, use it for cache, temp files, etc....only bad thing it's RAM so if system crashes you lose all on it, and it takes a while to load at start up and to save the files to HD during shutdown...can find more about it just by Googling RAMDisk...actual RAMDisk product is made by DataRam

The Radeon version is sort of a copy
