I have a DELL LATITUDE 6430 Laptop. I want to increase the RAM size from the existing 4 GB to 8 GB.

The laptop factory fitted with 4 gb DDR3 SDRAM SODIMM (Model Number - MT16JTF51264HZ).

I have a spare TwinMOS 4GB RAM PC3 10600 1333 MHz SODIMM.

I want to know whether adding both the RAM works fine ?

Solution

I'm not sure whether you have Dell Latitude E6430 or Latitude 6430u. But both of 'em support the same memory type and have the same memory specs. So you should be fine.

Yes, the memory will work if you mix the spare memory along with the existing memory as the specs are of the right order. Btw, your laptop supports 16GB of memory with 2 slot; max per slot is 8GB - http://www.memorystock.com/memory/DellLatitude6430u.html...
