Monitor have wavy lines?

after installed the cable dvi to vga my screen gets wavy and when i open my speakers button my monitor died for 2 secs?

i just recently upgraded a graphics card, geforce GTX 650 it can only use a DVI cable to my monitor VGA, but when i open up my speaker my monitor died for 2 secs? i dont know what is the really problem..

i thought my monitor have a problem but i tried to whitch my old GT series graphics card that have a VGA cable to my monitor VGA it works fine.


anyone know whats the really problem is?

What is your Power Supply Unit = PSU ? What is the brand/model of your monitor ? can you post a link of the monitor ! And a link of your GPU = Graphics card please.

you might forgot me already, but i already solved this problem the problem is my PSU, i upgraded my PSU to Corsair CX 500w, almost one year now, it works fine now thanks..

sorry for the late reply. Just here to find a good build gaming CPU..

thats all i have for now.. soon ill upgrade it..
 
Ok, if you want a better gaming CPU I can suggest you i5-4570 or i5-4670K or non-K, performance will be similar, but you cant OC with a non-K version CPU. Then you have to replace your MB, go with a decent ATX MB.

And you might have to replace your PSU aswell, cause above mentioned CPU's are HASWELL, and CX-500 is not compatible with those CPU's.

You can keep your GPU, HDD and RAM. Good luck.
