Hello guys!

First of all, sorry for my bad grammar, I know that I can't use this as a excuse but English isn't my native language =D

Well i need some advice here

I'm planning to build a new rig soon and Ii wanna know if the rig specification below will be enough to deal with a modded / heavily modded Skyrim (using official Bethesda HD textures + Skyrim HD 2K / 4K and some others things, no too much). I have no plans to play using resolutions above 1080p, 'cause i know about the resolution impact on VRAM. Any help will be appreciated!

My future rig will be:

Intel I7 3770 3.4 GHz (no plans for OC)
MSI Z77A-G43 mobo
8 GB DDR3 1600 (I'm between Corsair and G-skill)
Thermaltake TR2-800P PSU

and the most important (for me =) )

MSI GTX 770 Lightning 2 GB

This GPU will be enough for my case, at 1080p?

Thanks for your attention! =)

I think you will be fine with the 2GB model at that resolution even with those mods. You might notice a slight performance boost with the 4GB model if you had 100+ mods running at the same time. Google around and see if you can find anything. Either way you should still get really good performance with...

I agree If my rig can run Skyrim with 100+ mods with all those textures and more at a minimum of 40 fps you should be fine, but remember textures at 2k or above start to eat my vram. With mods like enb boost the more vram you have the more stable you are. Even so this card is more than enough for 1080p skyrim.

In your opinion, should I get a eVGA GTX 770 4GB instead, just to deal with 2k/4k textures @ 1080p, or is a waste?

My specs are nearly identical and I never drop below 60FPS at 1920x1080 and everything on MAX including a few mods. (Even CRYSIS, FC3 and Metro 2033 can run at 60FPS/1080p and look great but you'll need to carefully tweak these games while monitoring FRAPS).

In fact, here's my mods (Nexus Mods/Steam Workshop):

1) Unofficial Skyrim Patch Collection - Arthmoor

2) Official HD Texture Patch

3) SKYUI (must-have mod, but requires SKSE)

4) W.A.T.E.R.

5) Vilja (follower.. don't get right away)

6) SFO - expanded diversity

7) Skyrim Flora Overhaul

POINTS:
1) How to add SKSE is explained well under SKYUI, but it requires a different link to launch. I tried to "trick" Steam by adding a custom link but it somehow kept disappearing (you can show non-Steam games).

I finally have a link on my DESKTOP titled "Skyrim (SKSE)" which launches the proper file.

2) I monitored both VRAM and System Memory use after two hours of gameplay so it was at it's maximum (there's a trick to monitoring VRAM usage to do it properly):

VRAM: 1.5GB
System RAM: 1.75GB

So I used 75% of my 2GB of VRAM with modded Skyrim. I'm sure I could go nuts and add really demanding mods but I think it's clear that more than 2GB isn't critical.

As for System RAM, it appears even 4GB is likely enough though any competent gamer will tell you to get 8GB.

3) I have the LIP SYNC bug. People say it was causes by the last official patch (no more coming) but I'm uncertain if any of the Mods contributed to this. Any information would be great. I don't want to hijack the thread, but since he's installing SKYRIM it would be nice to know IF THERE's A FIX?
