Hello guys, I've seen similar posts but without luck of finding how to fix it!

I just came home from a 2 month holiday and not long after I started my computer it freezed while I was surfing the web. I didn't think too much about it and force rebooted it. A couple of minutes in it freezed again in the middle of a file transfer and I just can't figure out what it is.

I am 100% sure it's not a virus as I did a complete restore of my Windows 7 just a week before I left. And I think I have all my drivers up to date but I am not sure thougt.

During the freeze I cannot move my mouse nor use my keyboard and the only solution is a forced restart.

I have checked the reliability history and found nothing except for the forced shutdowns. It might be the new Nvidia driver (320.49) but I am not sure.

Help would be really nice as I am getting afraid of losing important information on the computer.

My computer specs:
EvGa GTX 680 2GB
Intel i7 930 @ 2,8 GH(stock)
6GB Ram
Gigabyte x58a-ud3r motherboard

Thank's a bunch

Motherboard is the likely suspect. Normally if it is the HDD then the mouse keeps working as it is resident in memory and not dependent on the HDD functioning. I have had a lot of problems with Gigabyte boards pulling this sort of thing and as a result I no longer use them. It may be the Motherboard is having problems communicating with RAM. I would start with the board first.
