last minute optical drive question

hi im getting an optical drive from samsung in a few days, my problem is the interface the drive uses only says SATA. so, would a sata III (6gbps) cable work with that and also will regular sata power connectors work with it. thanks for reading!

yes to both your questions, the SATA 3 cables are backwards compatible, although they will only connect with the SATA speed the device is rated for.
