Hey guys! I've got a mega problem, and it really freaking me out!

I build my first pc about a week ago (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/rushrage/saved/1Yo6)! It was running beautifully 2 days ago, but now it's have problems!

Two days ago I was running Dishonored on ultra setting with absoultly no lag! But today it's almost unplayable! The fps is really low, and it make simple things ,like looking around, almost impossible!

I have no idea what happened! I have only installed 2 other programs inbetween then and now (artrage and ccleaner), and have really only downloaded Counter Strike: Source maps.

I have Norton installed, and did a full computer scan and it found nothing. I have also tried using ccleaner, but I could not tell the difference.

Any ideas? Thank you sooooo much for your help!

so to fix this I would check in your bios at boot up and see if there is a choice to turn of integrated graphics.

I am also assuming you have your monitor plugged into your graphics card. just have to say it.

I am going out to shoot some billiards so i will check back in later tonight or tomorrow morning

always pick a best answer if I or anybody else has helped

Did you install all the drivers? If not this may be a cause. Did you check CPU/GPU temps and speeds? If none of this is a problem I'd try a fresh install of windows. If that doesn't help I'd RMA CPU or GPU most probably. If there is no temp problem, but a throttling problem then RMA PSU. Hope this help and let me know if you have more questions!

first thing I would do is check your temps. maybe your CPU cooler was not tightened down enough. also check all of your connections in your computer.

hwinfo64 is a good download that will tell you what is not running correct. in other words it will monitor your CPU speed, GPU speed and temps all across the system

Ok, I tried a system restore, and that did not work.

And I just played 20 min of Dishonored and nothing got above 31 C! How come it's so cool and not doing anything? I'm pretty sure all my drivers are up to date, and they didn't change between today and two days ago...

That sounds a lot like a PSU issue. Check what frequencies your CPU and GPU are running at while gaming. If they are not at max, the RMA your PSU, it seems to be the problems based on the temps.

those are showing you using your integrated intel graphics. no wonder gaming is poor, but not that bad considering.

also when you run hwinfo64 you can pick sensor only. that is what i prefer. I will show you what mine looks like.

also download evga precision.
http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/evga_precision.html

so you will see some boxes on the right. you open those by mouse clicking any individual category you want and you can see a record of exactly what is happening.

on the left is real time statitics and also the high and low

love my tahiti le chip overclocked to 1200MHz

this little print screen program is pretty cool for sharing also. it uses no resources. there is a link on the link aboe, just fyi.

also using evga precision will allow you to use an on screen display that will put a little overlay on your screen that shows what is going on in real time also.

here is a pick. mine shows zero because i tabbed out but you get the idea
