Ivy-Bridge E 4960X? I don't know if it's out yet, but it may be worth the wait. It's the 3960X's big brother.
Also try using a custom cooling loop. They work way better than those closed loops.
Maybe take off one optical drive? I don't know why you would need two of them.
If you're not too picky about your case, maybe have a look at Corsair's Obsidian line. They have some pretty nice cases that support a ton of cooling and other various features.
Maybe take out one of the SSDs. One is sufficient for your OS to boot up on, unless you really need 1TB of super fast space. One of the 512GB SSDs is sufficient to put all your video and photo editing-software on. Plus you could spend the extra 500 bucks on two more 4TB drives.
Yea but i want one for windows 7 and one for mavrick 10.9 when it comes out on separate hard drives, why not have 2 optical drives, i like the haf x, and why ivy bridge over haswell. Also im not familiar with custom water cooling
You can boot up each OS on the same SSD, that's no problem at all. Just create a partition for each and balance it how you like. You should install Windows first. As Mavrick will have a partition manager when you install it. You can do it how you like though, your build not mine. I was just trying to help the price come down, and maximize the awesomeness. Less optical drives to bring the price down 100$ which could be invested to increase awesomeness.
Notice I said Ivy-Bridge E, meaning Ivy-Bridge EXTREME. When the 4960X comes out it will be the fastest gaming CPU out, but it will still be slower than the top-line Xeon CPUs. Do no get the 4970X, that thing is like a radiator. Either get the top-line haswell or top-line Ivy-Bridge E, but for how much money you seem willing to spend, I would wait for Ivy-Bridge E.
Learning about building a custom loop is only an hour of research and a few youtube videos. Nothing like an astrophysics final. If you want to build your own PC, it's a good bit of knowledge to have.
