Hot temperatures with h100i

I had my replacement H100i arrive today and i fitted it but when i ran a stress test the temps seemed to go really high even though it was at stock speed. I am not sure whether i may have tightened the pump onto the cpu too tight. Would this cause any problems with temps? Is there anyone who can help me to sort out the temps of my cpu before i do some overclocking?

i have corsair link and core temp. The fans are running at maximum speed and although it idles at around 28-35 degrees it still goes above 80 and then i stop the stress test. Does the thermal pad on the h100i need to cure because i read online that it doesn't but these temps are making me think that it does.
